  • Psychological therapy

I work under the narrative therapy model and serve young people, adults and couples. The objective is to provide more tools so that people who come to consultation can face the difficulties that arise in their day to day with new perspectives and understanding, to improve their interpersonal and work relationships.

Characteristic symptoms or conditions that encourage people to take therapy:
    • Self esteem issues
    • Anxiety and phobias
    • Depression
    • Difficulty managing emotions
    • Obsessive disorders
    • Work problems
    • Couple problems
    • Other items
  • ART THERAPY

Within my clinical work I have incorporated other tools, such as art techniques, for which no prior experience is necessary. Working with art allows us to reach areas that words can’t, and this benefits people who prefer to communicate in creative ways, or those who wish to explore new methods of self-exploration.

In this way, creativity and psychotherapy interconnect on a fundamental level within the transformation, the metamorphosis, and the changes that are possible through art therapy.

  • Regression Therapy

This therapy style traces back to ancient western and oriental cultures that united in order to obtain a remedy to the deep suffering of the human being. This type of therapy seeks to awaken memories in the person that they do not know existed; with regression we can find the source of emotional blocks that we may be experiencing in the present. The most common techniques are deep relaxation and hypnosis. Once a patient is able to reach this level, the therapist will guide them in a way that the regressions to early age (childhood, adolescence) will make them relive moments that may have caused an emotional impact that led to current problems and behaviors.

A very important part of this therapy style is to relive trauma in order to release from our bodies something known as anchored memories and therefore reach physical healing. We have to connect with emotions that have often been repressed for a long time, give it room and let it go; this will produce emotional healing. This technique invites us to become deeply aware and understand the patterns of behavior found in our subconscious and allows for mental healing.

Regressions put us in contact with soul memories. Having access to this information allows us to have a deeper understanding of the difficulties we are living through in our current lives or of who we truly are. On the other hand, it allows us to return to the womb and relive the moment before birth and therefore understand our purpose, in other words, why did we choose to be here?

Some of the benefits of this therapy style are:
    • It helps us find the origin of patterns of behavior that we sometimes do not understand, because they are tied to memories, promises, or pacts that did not begin in this life.
    • It helps us understand the reason why we meet certain people again in this life.
    • It allows us to free emotions that have been blocked.
    • It allows us to understand that each experience is a part of evolution.
    • It allows us to heal troubled relationships, frees ties and dependencies on other people.
    • It diminishes the fear of death and allows us to understand death from another perspective.

WORKSHOPS

Eleven years ago, I began to design and implement workshops for vulnerable populations, specially geared towards migrants, refugees, shelter volunteers, and the family members of missing persons.

Four years ago, due to the different needs we as a society go through, I decided to broaden my work with the purpose of reaching various populations. Some of the workshops I host are done in collaboration with different artists in order to enrich the work. Through group work I hope that each participant has a sensory experience, that they live the process through their senses.

I am convinced that it is not only about finding other people with similar difficulties; what really helps is the emotional experience of sharing one’s inner world, being heard, and being accepted as one is. This is the importance of having good group experiences, many of which can rectify previous unsatisfactory experiences. Group interaction spaces help us to strengthen, grow, and allow us to mend our self-image.

CONSULTING

My objective is to understand the needs of groups and offer them new tools so that they may reach their goals. I do this through:

  • Training multidisciplinary groups that want to improve their competencies in the work environment through techniques such as art therapy, psychoeducation or as deemed necessary (remotely or on-site).
  • Doing technical supervision in regard to sexual violence, caring for migrants, amongst other topics.
  • Facilitating workshops for work groups that are under stress or are having internal conflicts.
  • Teaching how to develop workshops that adapt to the context of their work
  • Developing intervention strategies based on the needs identified
